The latest generation of wind turbines is widely acknowledged to generate significant levels of noise.
This will be especially intrusive for anyone within 2kms (a mile and a quarter) of any one of the 35 turbines.
The effects on health are recognised abroad but, sadly, the current planning guidelines are based on outdated information.
Developers often refer to the noise of wind turbines being “drowned out” by background noise.
